Default * some text missing * - ARGH!

this bugs the hell out of me...does anyone know what causes it, and apart from it somehow fixing itself is there anything you can do about it?

    it's really crap! :annoyed:

edit: i'm talking about text messages...

hee hee... right i think i know whats up.

ur reffering to when your reading a text message right? this happens when someone texts you and they go over the 160 char limit. so the text is sent in 2 parts.

however one part always reaches you first so u get the *some text is missing error*, untill the 2nd part of the messages come, then depending on which handset u got, the original message will be updated or part 2/2 of a message will come thru.

most likely to happen on a nokia. :thumbs

is that what ya on about...? :nowords:

yeah that's what I'm on about. But the problem is that the other part of the message just dissapears into space. It's so annoying when you have to reply and ask what was said becuase all you got was 'I've got some really important news, I've just won loads of * some text missing *'

I figured everyone got this probem a lot...but maybe it's just me? Not really sure what I do wrong so i'll put it down to a multipart curse on me.

and it does only happen on nokias, but all I have is nokia's so it's all a bit biased.

i think it only does on nokia... never seen it on another handset. what ur describing with the mystery message happens to me as well.

fcuking pain in the ass... thats why i tell em to send it in 2 parts... rather than 1 big messages.
