Hi, when I try to delete my history on IE tools/int options (win98SE) nothing happens until I do ctrl/alt/del and then close "orca" and / or "edtuy" from the list of running programs. Is there a site where I can identify my running progs to see if they are needed or could be removed. The list which is displayed after ctrl/alt/del means nothing to me "loadqm, ccapp, etc. etc. so it would be good to have somewhere to check what each one actualy does. Did try a google search but orca seems to be a famous killer whale!! Thanks in anticipation. Rich.

Many thanks for the quick reply Q-Buster, I didnt think to put the .exe bit in my search :|. Funny how easy it is when you know, ccapp is common client application, used by Norton,in my case. Probably obvious stuff to you guys but a steep learning curve for me !! Thanks again.

spybot s&d
spysweeper
will clear crap off your machine

cyberscrub
evidence eliminator
destroy it pro
will erase different data from your drives that you may no longer want to different levels of deletion

registry healer
will clear a lot of crap out of your registry and get rid of some hidden stuff (like discjugglers list of last 10 files burned)

Thanks ABCman, I run ad-aware and spybot regularly and evidence eliminator daily, I have also run hi-jack this but often dont understand the results which is why a site using simple explanations would be good. I once ran Ashampoo suite and it found loads of duplicate files which I eliminated but had all sorts of trouble after, so am wary of deleting stuff unless 100% sure. Anyway thanks for your help and Google here I come.
