    Default Evo X

Got this flashed to my hard drive with (as far as i know as i didn't fit it) an Xecuter 2.6 on my Crystal Xbox. However, it takes me on average about 5 times of turning the Xbox on and off before it actually boots the game. Is there any way of making this more reliable, ie. boot first time.

    Any help much appreciated

    Cheers

I take it that what is happening is that most times your xbox is just booting into the microsoft dashboard and only sometimes booting into evox?

If this is the case.. and Im guessing here... its the way your box has been set up.. try booting by powering up using the disc eject button and report what happens.. also try booting up using the power switch but very quickly press the button and then try powering upholding your finger on the power button.

See if any of these methods always boot to evox for you.

take it back to the guy who chipped it, sounds dodgy to me, could be just cheapo media,

does it take ages to boot the dashboard if theres no disk in the drive?

    is the harddrive noisy?

Great stuff! Xbox boots up fine everytime by just holding the power button for slightly longer.

Thanks a lot, karma awarded :thumbs

Sounds like you have an apple X chip. The older ones used to do this.
