Problem with hotmail folders

I am having problems accessing the folders I created in my hotmail accounts, using both IE and Mozilla. When I go to my account I can read the emails in my inbox fine, but when I try to look for emails in a folder I created some time ago, I get a message in IE saying opening file (and a long filename that stretches to the side of the dialogue box) and nothing seems to happen. With Mozilla, I get a box 'Mozilla does not know how to handle this file, open with or save' etc.

When you hover over the folders at the side, the address seems to be a javascript window, I have reloaded javascript and rebooted, but still the same.

Any ideas please?

I am going to check from another machine, but that wont be for a day or two.

Sounds strange, Try installing Sun Java

Tried it, still the same, tried other PC's they work fine, feeels like reinstall time again, but at least this install lasted a few years, unlike win98, which only lasted a few months!!

FFS, just tried forwarding a message to my POP account, and it went perfectly, previously it opened a 'file downloading' box, it did forward the email but the box sat there until a timeout occured, now I find everything is working correctly again, wierd or what!!
