maybe a small description of the problem would be a good place to start the ball rolling

..when does it happen e.g. if whne you PC starts or you login-in, a prgram may be trying to start automatically which may be dodgy

ensure you windows is uptodate & you've run the latest spyware & ant-virus

rundll32 is a vital part of windows - do NOT delete it, lol!
Windows system files to tend to become unstable on their own quite often! My advise would be to move away from win98 prehaps and maybe onto 2000/xp idf you machine is suitable.
If not then a fresh install of windows will clear up virtually all your problems. (A fresh install of linux will clear them all! )

the most interesting thing you can do with rundll32 is backup your orignal rundll32.exe file, then make a copy of notepad or some other amusing exe (like a CD tray opener) and rename it to rundll32.exe and put it where rundll32.exe normally lives.
best to do it to someone elses PC at work or something, then sit back and watch the amusement as the program executes when rundll32 is supposed to

but to be serious, I would upgrade to XP, better security than 98 and more stable too (although some people may disagree)
