Well I wouldn't go as far as to say "brilliant", but it sure was impressive. Thanks for that post. The others in the vid were ok as well
Think about the technology thats gone into that to enable the bike to balance! I'm very impressed!
the technology is good but not for the balance, a bike is self balancing at speed.
once its moving it will look after itself.
my radio controlled bike from the late 80's doesnt need any special technology to keep it upright on 2 wheels, just momentum and gyroscopic forces from the wheels
Impressive. . . But check out Asimo by Honda http://world.honda.com/ASIMO/
the Japs are miles ahead on Robotics, its interesting to see the motors config in the joints providing the power for human like walk.
See the vid with the bike stationary, not using any of the gyroscopic effects of the wheels rotating!Originally Posted by tiggerbiker
that bike isnt being balanced by the robot, check out the bloke witht he white tracksuit on behind the bike, whenever that bike starts wobbling his arm moves in rhythm with it, either he's got a nervous disposition or he's aiding in keeping that bike balancedOriginally Posted by WTD
thats also a well positioned piece of card funny its not on vid of the bike being ridden
not impressive at all

that is very cool, but i agree the stationary balancing looks aided by that dude standing behind it, if tou were making that vid you would tell that guy to move to avoid any suspishion, also the card is a bit suspect.
hahaha, would look more realistic if they had giant strings coming down holding it in place
The technology is very impressive
