    Help Record now max problem

I have been using record now max for a few months then yesterday i opened it to find that it cant see my pioneer 108, tried reinstalling a few times with no luck, and tried a system restore but none of the points could be used. The only thing thats changed is that i have tried a couple of movie making progs ulead and super dvd creator. I have now removed them.

    Any ideas would be great

    Thanks

Try re-installing the PX Engine update for Record Now, possibly yours has become corrupted, & it no longer sees the 108 due to this, the PX Engine has all the latest recorder drivers, inc 108.

Check if your primary IDE channel is set to DMA mode, if it's not & is set to PIO mode instead, then this will result in a longer burn.

Do this by clicking START/SETTINGS/CONTROL PANEL/SYSTEM/DEVICE MANAGER

Then select IDE ATA/ATAPI Controllers Select Primary or Secondary IDE Channel, (whatever your reader & writer are connected to, Right Click, then select PROPERTIES, then select Advanced Tab, info should be in there, if any are set to PIO Mode, then manually DELETE/REMOVE that IDE channel, dont worry about any warning messages, soon as you reboot Windows, it auto installs the channel back again, this time in DMA mode propertly.

Are u sure the media is at least x4 speed compatible & recognised by the official firmware of the 108 ?
In my experience, burning at 4 speed takes roughly 15 min, burning at 2 speed around 30 min, so if yours is taking 22 min, that suggests to me it seems to be waiting for data from the source disk, are you burning on the fly, or from hard disk.
