JILTED LOVER RIPS OFF BOYFRIEND'S TESTICLE Jan 12 2005
Attack after her ex refused to have sex at boozy party
By Will Batchelor
A WOMAN yesterday admitted ripping off her former lover's testicle when he refused to have sex with her.
Amanda Monti flew into a rage with Geoffrey Jones during a drunken party.
She tore off his shorts and underpants and yanked off his left testicle with her hands.
Later, a friend at the party handed the organ to Mr Jones, saying: 'That's yours.'
Doctors were unable to re-attach the testicle.
Liverpool Crown Court heard Mr Jones, 37, ended his long-term relationship with Monti, 24, in May last year.
They stayed on good terms and on May 30, Monti offered to collect Mr Jones from a barbecue and drive him home.
She drove him to another party before going to his home in Netherton, Merseyside, where friends joined them for more drinks.
As the party was winding down, Monti offered Mr Jones sex.
When he refused, she grabbed his face and a struggle ensued.
Mr Jones threw Monti, who is just 5ft 2in tall, out of the house. She then smashed a window, got back into the house and confronted him.
Another struggle took place and Monti was knocked to the floor, from where she pulled down Mr Jones's shorts.
Pain In a statement, Mr Jones said: 'I was left standing in my underpants. She was still lying on the floor.
'Suddenly, she grabbed my genitals and pulled hard. That caused my underpants to come off and I found I was completely naked and in excruciating pain.'
Referring to his friend Danny McDonagh, Mr Jones said: 'He came into the kitchen and said to me, 'That's yours', and I saw that he was holding one of my testicles.'
Defence lawyer Wendy Lloyd said Monti did not remember much about the attack.
But she accepted the prosecution's version of events and admitted wounding Mr Jones.
Monti, of Birkenhead, Merseyside, was released on bail. She will be sentenced on February 10.
Last night, an expert said 'an almighty feat of strength' would be needed to rip off a testicle.
Professor Nick James, of Birmingham University School of Medicine, said: 'She must have pulled with amazing force.'
