d500 stopped working help

we have 2 d500 phones both where on orange and unlocked for us to go on o2 both been fine since december but today they both say unlimited service we tried both sims in diff phones they ok and tried voda sims in the d500,s they worked ok but no o2 any idease guys please advise:nono

aye we paid 600 quid for them at the phone market in the town near us brand new in boxes :nowords: we have always used the same shop for our phone and never had any probs before also been on the phone to o2 for 50 mins today they cant understand whats happened ?????????

sounds like these are blocked/take them bk round and get the twat to change or explain why they went off

so wouldnt o2 know they have been blocked cause they are scratching there heads atm and told us it could take up to a week to sort out one is contract with em and other is pay as ye go tried several sims from o2 all doing the same

It does sound like they have been barred m8. Take them back to the person you bought them off and explain. There might be a genuine fault,,, but seems unlikely to affect both fone at the same time.

aye both phones were bought at the same time and both went down with this message this morning at 7 am one on pay as ye go the other a contract sim both bought xmas eve just gone

02 havent got a clue m8, they are seriously dumb

ring Vodafone and tell them about the fone and ask them to check the imei, it will be on there blacklist

take them back to the dodgy git you brought em off and tell him to either give you a refund or your going to the police

we can ring the phone after trying a few times but it locks the phone up you have to reboot by taking battery off as pressing the red button to turn it off doesnt work

orange is limited service just tried it m8? so whats happening to em?

its 100% blocked by the network supplier m8, Orange is the original network hence they will normally block them first, then they send the information to the rest of the networks who will block them.

He's either brought them from someone who's got em on Contract, left them for a month and then reported them lost, or he's getting em from someone who is taking them from a phone shops stock and flogging them, and believe me there loads of people doing that

but the first one is usually the case

Take em back tomorrow and tell him u want a refund, hopefully you have a receipt from him with the phones IMEI numbers on, otherwise I dont think you'll get anywhere.

We buy 2nd hand mobile phones from the public but out of maybe 100 phones we get offered in a week we would buy a maximum 20, this is because we ask for 2 forms of ID and explain that we have the people on camera so if a phone we buy is barred then it will be handed over to the police with ALL information.

We also ask for a copy of the contract for phones like D500 and have a maximum payout of £80 so that stops people selling us contract frauded phones.

But we also offer a IMEI guarrantee so if any of our phones are barred we will refund or exchange the phone, thats why are rules are so strict.

In 3 years we have had 3 barred phones, ALL 3 were handed to the police and they took further action, not many shops offer this and you better hope this shop you purchased them from are like us or you will be £600 out of pocket.

we bought them just as pay as ye go i suppose we liked the phones and they just sold us them over the counter unlocked but he said he had a big box of them and was suppliying a trader ?

Mate ring anywhere now and ask them if they have the D500 on Pay as you go, NO one will have them

As far as I know they are still very hard to get on Contract, let alone for £300 on Pay As You Go, Dont even think they are available on PAYG let alone before Xmas

He sounds very dodgy this bloke, without a receipt with the IMEI numbers on I bet he says you will have to prove u got em from him.

Some bloke came into my shop offering me 20 D500's for £150 each the other day, He even had 5 with him and showed me them but I wasnt interested

We have a chain of stores up here, theres something like 7 of them all in all and they are proper Phone shops as you say, now I know they will buy from anyone and sell the phones without even thinking about it, believe me its impossible to get a refund off them as well, cause u cant prove you purchased the phone from them

a reciept with 2 x D500's £600 on is useless without the IMEI numbers on, the shop will just tell the police they arent from them, it could be any D500's u have.

One more thing, chances are if he is selling these phones that get disconnected he wont want to give you back £600, if he takes the phone of you and he goes missing then comes back, check the IMEI there and then, you do this by typing *#06# and make sure the IMEI on the screen matches the back, if it doesnt tell them your going to the Police, maybe even inform trading standards and the Police before you go to the shop
