Outlook 2003 - how do you remove the favourite folders list?

Hello, not so familiar with OL, as I use Lotus Notes myself.

But google delivers these bad news;

"You cannot completely remove the Favorite Folders list from your Navigation Pane. You also cannot manually resize the Favorite Folders list."

i read that too cronus, but i thought that site was more of a kind of review, i was hopnig there was some kinda reg hack or something.

Thats odd as I DONT have favourite folders. Might be cos I am connecting to an exchange server.

FFS i added it to try and work out how to get rid of it now i cant aaarrrggghhhh

Ohhh I did it, what I did was to clear all the favorite folders out of that section (yours was already empty i think) then click on folder list at the bottom. That did it for me anyway!

well.. thats not quite it cos it reappears as soon as you hit mail.. but cheers anyway.

if i click folder list it goes. if then click on inbox, it does not reappear. click on mail icon and it does.
it's a pain, but then again so is a lot of outllook 2003
