I bought one of they cameras not so long ago and the value for money is hard to match. I don't think there is another camera with 10x optical zoom in the same price bracket. The technology may not be the latest with only 3.1m effective pixels but the price reflects it.

I was really torn between the S7000 and the S5000... and to be honest either one would be more than enough for my needs, in the end I stumped up the cash for an S7000... what can I say Its AWESOME.

No indeed its not he best on the market but for the money (was about �300) its awesome.

I plan on getting an S5000 for the other half soon as she is starting to use the S7000 way too much for my liking
