Gorillaz new track, 'Dare'.
Funny to see the one above as a new track.
I am currently listening to Paul Oakenfold - Southern Sun and in my playlist for now I have BT - Dreaming 12" mix, Cygnus X - The Orange Theme, Way Out West - Intensify Part 2, La Rissa - I do both Jay and Jane (KayCee remix), Skip Raiders - Another Day, De'Lacy - Hideaway (Deep Dish Remix) and PMT - Deeper Water (Wookie Slut Remix), The Morrighan - Remember (To The Millenium) (Lange Remix) and then probably bed.
What you lot listening to these days?
After my pops saw Walk The Line a few weeks ago, and asked me to "get" him some Johnny Cash tracks, I've actually been listening to him myself. A lot of them are stories, which make me laugh, he's almost like a country and western rapper, in that he keeps his lyrics so well timed, speeding them up to say what he wants in time with the beat.
Another new find, since me & the missus vow to watch less tv, is Chill Radio on the Sky radio channels, we have it on while she canes me at backgammon and I get her back at Blackjack. Things is I end up Shazamming loads of it as they play some quality tracks. Here's the last 3 I got.....
Papua New Guinea - The Future Sound Of London (a classic but forgotten about it)
Undercover - Gemma Hayes
Racing Away - Horace Andy & Grant Lee Phillips
Got The Strokes new album but I am not overly impressed.
Solar Radio on Sky radio channel 0129 is pretty damn good as well. Eclectic mix of latin, breaks, soul, funk and hip hop etc.
CDs and mp3s: Arctic Monkeys, Doves - Last Broadcast (haven't listened for a while and still one of the best albums of the decade so far), various James Lavelle stuff, various Mr Scruff stuff, loads of old school sets from the late eighties to mid nineties by DJs like Sasha, Paul Oakenfold and Carl Cox that I found links to on another messageboard.
Cool, I take it that's their new channel number? Shazam at the ready.Originally Posted by WalterPill
