This is probably a stoopid question and I am posting this cos i is drunk and can't well I am unable to look at the mo. Well can i rely on netstat to see who is connected? BTW I run peerguardian by default.

TCPview will do the same - but it is pulling info from the same places.
Do a little test and connect to some known places and check between the two.
