what do you recommend ?

right, I've found a friend who can mod my xbox and he usually installs x3 or xenium ice.

I can either go for the x3 which everyone rates highly or the xenium ice which from research is rated highly too and they both have a good featureset

so.. whats peoples experience with these chips ?
and which one do you think I should go for ?

i got a x3 and wouldnt change it for anything, aany now all the new bios and upgrades like x3 control pannel with xlcd its a must

have only ever used x2.x's or x3's so I would say x3.
I am interested to see what other people have to say about the xenium ice though

i got a xenium ice, brought one and installed for a mate too...

works a treat but then again i dont really use it for much other than backups and i dont even do that too often as not much of a games player!

there is an lcd and stuff coming out for the xenium though... and i have noticed they are now doing a new kit with the solderless things for all xbox versions!

main reason i went for it was money and recommendations on a few sites...

I have only tried the xecuter chips, had a 2.3b originally but took that out and replaced it last month with a X3 CE as well as the nice X3 Control Panel so I cannot comment on the Xenium chips.

Have to admit that the X3 is an awesome chip. Loads of customisable options and the back-up bios is great in case you f**k up flashing it (as I did !) *LOL*

X3, and also invest in the LCD, they look awesome!

read the forums on XS for each chip, read the features of both chips and make up your own decision on what you want from the chip, if you dont want an lcd and other useless rubbish, u mite as well just get somethin cheap and cheerful like a duo2

ive fitted both the xenuim and the X3 and i was impressed with the xenium more in all honesty, but to me theyre both a bit pointless
