    Whine Your footballing injuries

What injuries have you guys had playing the beautifull game?

    So far I have:

    Fractured left ankle (2 pin's)
Broken left foot (metatarsal) before it became the popular modern day footballers injury!!
Broken big toe on right foot (twice).

I did my big toe again last night, hence my post as I am sat at home bored. Didn't even feel it till I got home and it swelled up and started going a funny colour. :|

Have got dodgy ankles now thanks to football - a couple of serious sprains is as bad as it's got but my muscle no longer connects properly to the bone in one of my ankles so it's a pretty common occurrence now...

Osgood-Schlatter Disease in my knee *shudder*...for those who don't know it's a big feck off lump in your knee caused usually by bones growing too quick or playing too much sport

Also doing an overheard kick a couple of years ago falling awkwardly, hurt my ribs, still painful as fcuk when I sleep on my front or do some exercise...think they're cracked or not fully healed :|

Stubbed toe and foot, had that a lot, fecking painful especially when getting in the bath/shower

I like getting stuck in but only made 1 really hard challenge last night. I caught this guy a cracker right across his foot as he attempted to shoot. Was a good block and I thought no more of it.

I fractured my left ankle when I was 15 being stupid and lunging into tackles. I used to think that the ball was mine and I always had to win it. :| That hurt like hell. :nono

Didn't happen to me (thank god), but in a match I played in, our stiker had a 50/50 with the keeper. Keeper just got to the ball first, but his knee ended up catching the striker full in the face with both players going at full speed. Poor guy ended up in hospital and had to have a metal plate put in his head :coffee:

Even worse, this guy was on the verge of signing as a pro, but couldn't ever risk playing again in case the plate moved.

Used to play 5-aside on astro turf, seeing as it was a nice day, took my shirt off... went and scored, tripped over my shoelaces and glided across the turf about 5 metres, burning my chest, stomach etc.. with friction burns

    And a broken ankle.

Not hugely major ones compared to others

    lmao Re: Your footballing injuries

    Osgood-Schlatter Disease as a teenager
    Broken right wrist
    Broken left arm upper
Broken right arm upper x 2
    Broken left foot 5th Metatarsal
Crush Fracture base of right thumb + ruptured ligs

Just recovered from the metatarsal injury, when i had a paint ball injury..
twisted ankle became broken ankle (pins) and level 3 ligament ruptures, that was in August, just been discharged from frature clinic, but looks like I may have "hidden" trouble with my knees which was hidden before, but has no come to light now i have lost most of my quads. So looks like a return to the pitch is still a while away.. :-(

All you get is "you must stop playing football", yeah right..

Broke my left leg in two places, what made it worse was it happened at training, and it was my mate that done it!!!!.
Left knee is now shot, played too much football and played with injuries.
Most bizarre was broken bone in my foot while WATCHING football.World cup 1990.Ireland v Rumania penalty shootout. When David O'Leary slotted the winning pen, jumped up off the couch and the way I landed broke a bone in my foot.....nurses at the casualty dept, thought it incredibly amusing
