Default Logitech MX700 cordless mouse problems !

    Hello there,

I have a Logitech MX700 cordless mouse. For some reason, recently, when I put the mouse back on the charging station the red light keeps flashing instead of it turning green and charging.

You usually get the mouse indicator flashing red when the batteries are low but when you put in on the charging station it changes to a green flashing indicator and starts charging. I have cleaned the contacts at the bottom of the mouse and the charging station, and installed the mouse software back on my PC, but still get the same problem, what could it be ?

    Thanks in advance

Well basically for some reason or another it looks like the power is not getting through so check the power cable is plugged in and all other things are plugged in properly. I would say do the batteries need replacing but even if they couldn't charge I think it would still show as green.

All the cables are plugged in. The charging base is pluged in and powered up, the mouse is plugged into the usb port. I'm not sure that the batteries need replacing, I don't know when they are supposed to be replaced. I've had the mouse now for approx 2 yrs with original rechargable batteries in them.

Most rechargable batteries can only be recharged xx number of times, depending on the make. Try a different set to rule this out.

IT sounds like the batteries are not accepting any charge. Replace them would be a good idea to see if that helps.
