    Default "Shotgun" cable for Sky+

Bought a sky plus box (pace 3100) off ebay as well as a LNB (raven).

Anyone know where I can get CT63 (think its that- the shotgun cable) for connecting the LNB to the box? Need 20m and ideally it should be white (I know satcure sells it in black).

Also the raven LNB will fit a triax minidish yeah?

Additionally- anyone got an idea how much an installer would charge to swap the LNB and run the cable?

    Cheers.

    Mike.

    Try here mate.

Remember you'll need different connectors too.

Why not tap up your local installer - bung him a drink to sort you out.

    Just re-read your post.

To make your Plus box work I think your gonna have to subscribe. Why not subscribe to a new standard box then when the guy comes get him to put your stuff up. Then you ring Sky and tell them you've bought a Plus box and you need to U/G your subs.

stu99- already subscribed (got a panny tudsb31 which is starting to play up).

Gonna rip down the CT100 and replace it with CT63, will be a neater install but ideally want white cable.

Will ring round a few people tomorrow.

    Cheers.

i have to agree. the ct63 has a higher loss on it too. although a 20m run will be fine as long as you get a nice strong signal to start with.

    got the CT63 installed.

Ended up getting the old LNB off the dish with a mallet, cue the dish going out of alignment and the wind catching it when I tried realigning it- got a guy out to align it. Its at 100% strength, 65% quality on both of them which isn't too bad
