    Default ebay distorts reality

I'm selling my bjc-85 on ebay, and I expect it to go for around £30-£40...

As I was doing some research I came across this:
a bjc-85 with a few printer cartridges, worth £3-£5, the bids currently stand at, £104? and £18.50 postage?

honestly, ebay is a wierd place...

this is the main reason I sell stuff on ebay...I brought things, used them and then sold them for profit on ebay at a later stage...I have to admit I am more than happy with that arrangement :thumbs

people think they are clever to go to ebay, little do they know it's not always the cheapest place to go,,, but I dont wanna ruin their fun.

edit: they've even got GTASP selling for more than the RRP on pre-order before any release or game info has even come out...why???

wow, that is really crazy. I remember buying a Psion 5 MX for £70 once, bought a £20 memory card for it and sold it a week later for £210. A very weird market indeed

some people got more money than sense ~ I'm happy to take their money off them, and seemingly they're happy to give it! Brilliant

the guy who won the other auction for £104 is now bidding on yours, shall we start a bidding war, maybe his max bid is around the £104 mark again

Well maybe he knows something you don't, his feedback is amazing so maybe your item is worth more

Probaly not, but never know Bid it up! They would do it to you, why not do it back.

his photo is better, looks more professional insofar as his install disc looks like an original, yours looks like a printable cdr, look how neatly arranged his cables etc are compared to yours etc, whilst your description looks like its a spec sheet his description makes a big thing of unimportant bits but it just SOUNDS more exciting and thats what gets the less well mentaly equipped buying.

if it has an ir port you could point out that it can print from certain cameras, camera phones and casio watch phones (if it can) and use that as a sales pitch, not only is it a pc printer but as its portable you can take it in the car and print out your pictures wherever you take them.

hopefully you'll get silly money for it too, but an accurate discription isnt always as enticing as one that simply sounds like you realy NEED it
