Default digital forums cookie monster replacement.

As you all know, it is a very sad time for young children and adults alike who enjoy sitting down to watch their favourite sesame street character chomp on his favourite snack, that being the humble cookie. Over the past few years many senior American politicians and world leaders have put pressure on the produces of sesame street to restrict the amount of cookies our favourite character may eat. Rather than just his staple meal of cookie, he must "mix it up" with fruit and vegetables. I for one am totally disgusted with this and after several emails and harassing phone calls I can also confirm (Mr.) Cookie monster is too.

So he has asked me to take up the cookie crumbs and carry on the beacon of light, that is cookie eating.

So each week I will present to the forum a review of the cookie that I have eaten in the hope to educate the world to the nutritional benefits of the humble cookie, which has been so shamefully neglected in the PR stunt called "Project healthy eating"

    I thank you.

    ------------------------------------

    #1 - Sainsbury's "Taste the difference" 4 - truly indulgent cookies (triple chocolate) £1.39

    Contains no GM ingredients
Is only sourced from suppliers who meet our stringent standards of quality and safety.

Ok down to the nitty gritty....

You get 4 cookies in a pack, the packaging is cheap but practical, these cookies really stand out from the rest of the cookies on sale in Sainsbury's as they have purple packaging, a theme that runs through Sainsbury's "Taste the difference" range.

The cookies smell chocolaty, and they have the look of four healthy cookies, un-burnt and still soft. I prefer soft cookies rather than hard brittle ones, I don't know what your preference is but feel free to leave comments as to the type of cookie you prefer I may just try it on your behalf.

The taste of the cookie is that of dark rich milk chocolate, and it is so rich and chocolately(sp) it take a supreme effort on my part to finish the pack of 4... I feel like I have failed the cookie monster before I have even begun...

Anyway, This type of cookie is best shared with a friend, if you eat all 4 cookies alone you may feel slightly nauseated and end up taking a glass of Andrews liver salts to bed with you.

I will give this cookie a respectable 8/10

    Tastes luxurious.

millies cookies are the business. I've just bought my girlfriend a box of 18 (a mix of chocolate chip and ginger) ...... I obviously had to "test" them to make sure they would be suitable for her consumption. Think I might be in the $hit as there is only a few left now. :whistle

Can I request that you also review the various "make your own" cookie mixes? With special reference to which is best to add your very own sprinkling of banned substances?

Pah... That's no good! The reason why the the cookie monster is so wacky is because he is ribbed to the tits most of the time!

I find brownies are the best to add that liberal dash of intoxicating substances. The melted butter just seems to really bring out the business - and Tesco do a great brownie mix.

Those sainsburys ones really are the business.

May I also recomend the white chocolate and rasberry ones. The aint as good as the triple choc ones, but the do make for a good breakfast cookie.

yea biscuit cookies will not be included in my investigations. I did sample some of the "millies" delights this evening (in bluewater) cookies are great but the sales staff are Muppets...

"wanna get obese with an extra 4 cookies only 50p more"

    and

    "want some drinks and ice-cream"

    Well done sir....

I believe your quest to educate and enlighten the DF population in the dying art form of cookie munching is indeed a noble quest. I, like you, am horrified by the prospect of everybody's favourite blue furry friend having to resort to eating suspiciously looking and reportedly "healthy" food and believe that the task you have set for yourself will take a great deal of willpower and self determination.
Perhaps we should put together a petition for (Mr) Cookie monster and support him in his hour of need? Any idea's on who we would hand it to.. Maybe we could get a political party to add it to their manifesto?

If I may be so bold as to suggest a cookie. The M&M variety available from Subway have become one of my favourite tasty treats.

May be slightly different as it's more biscuit-focused, but anyone who's into flat, sweet, fatty flour-based baked goods, have a look at http://www.nicecupofteaandasitdown.c...uits/week.php3 .
