    Default outlook express

    rite guys

does anyone know how to save all your emails from outlook express, formatting a pc for my cousin and she would like all her emails keeping, but when i re-format she would like all the emails back in outlook express in the folders they were originally in.

so is there a way to export them, then import them back without losing anything.

i tried file/export but it only exports them to another program.

any help would be really appreciated guys

    cheers

The address book has the extension .wab and the emails have the extension .dbx, search for *.wab and *.dbx, should locate them for you.

P.S. you may have to search HIDDEN files and folders.

Have a root over here mate for what you are looking for. You can export the address book as a CSV which is what I always do but the post should tell you the rest.

You can also use Genie outlook backup manager. This will allow you to backup emails, favourites and files as well.
