Arabsat & Nilesat Reception in U.K.

Hi , ppl Is the reception of both Arabsat & Nillesat receivable in the British Isles.

I read a post in other forum that somebody near Manchester City has receive Nilesat with 1.6 m dish , but the receptin was very poor . Hoping someone has received these satellites can help me out with some info. regarding dish size .

I get arabsat 26e no problem in northwest uk signal 78% quality 80%
nilesat I have not tried but I doubt I will get it .

Im using echostar 3600 & 1.2meter dish channel master with 0.3 Invacom LNB and get satellites from 45e to 45 w

You can get nilesat on 13e hotbird

you have good reception ( signal 80% & quality 78% ) on Arabsat

But strange , how come you doubt you will get Nilesat , here in Middle East , Nilesat is more powerful in trasmission than Arabsat transmission . as far as you received Arabsat you should receive Nilesate easily . Your dish 1.2 m , is it Offset dish ?

Can you please in your reply next provide me with some info. & picture of your ( 0.3 Invacom LNB ) .

As you can see, Arabsat is far more European than Nilesat

I am close to Manchester...80cm Dish, 0.3 db LNB, Technomate 1000Ci receiver.
I get Arabsat at around 60% quality, I just about get 36% signal on the vertical channels from Nilesat, not good enough to lock a digital signal, I get no signal from Horizontal channels.

80 CM dish is small to receive a signal from Nile sat.
