Is there an psychologist in the house?

Its the old classic "I have this friend with troubles, and I need a bit of advice".

Obviously I'm not expecting a fully qualified psychologist but I wondered if there was anyone on DF who has been educated in this field and would be willing to have a quick chat with me via PM?

Any advice given would be much appriciated.
