Database help(Access) please

I am using the wizards to set up a database, and one one of my entries will be a date function, I want to put a command button next to this, so that when i press it it will automatically put the current date in for me, rather than inputting it all the time. I know you have to use a Macro, is it possible someone could please explain how do do this step by step please.

Use the now() function and format the date into the required format i.e. dd/mm/yyyy hh:mm.

That way every time you create a new entry a automatic date/time entry is created.
