Default Need *some* help with a Corsa Radio install...

Ok I think this might be a lost cause but my housemate has a K Reg Corsa and we wanna try to get a radio installed. Unfortunatly the previous car radio was stolen and the stupid idiots just cut all the wires to get at it. So I am in need of a Corsa wiring diagram (or just a brief explination of which wires i need to use). I dont suppose anyone has a copy of this handy or can point me in the right direction of a place to look? I tried to download a haynes manual but couldn't get any for K reg corsa's

As there is no ISO connector block on the car I will need to buy one, identify which wires go where and then try to wire a connector back into the car. I've never done anytihng like this before and I wondered how hard/possible it will be to get this far?

As soon as the blocks in (and tested with a voltmeter for geting it right) i can just install a cage, slide the radio in and be happy?

any advice or info would really be appreciated as i'm a total newbie to car radio installs
    I'm new to this

The easiest way would be to go to a scrap yard and cut the plug off another corsa, solder the colours back together and your sorted.

the ISO wiring will be in the instructions of a stereo you buy, mine was and it said which ones need changing to suit the different makes of cars. some of the car clubs always have walk throughs on stuff like.

or just goto halfords, carefully peruse the haynes corsa manual and i think you'll find it at the back under "readio harness wiring diagram"

PS the wires are the same for an Astra and vectra..... have fun..:thumbs

WHOS YOUR DADDY ? Eh ? this may help... the rest will be speaker + and - is man...

1 permenant 12v(yellow)2 ignitition(red)3 illumination(orange?)4 earth(black)5 electric ariel(blue) where the blue wire goes in on the iso plug(radio side)on the car plug threre will be two wires for a corsa corsa b red/white+grey/white(i think..)the red/white is for the areil booster and the grey/white is for the display.

    :thumbs what a star

had already been to halfords and did one better. Got the stereo guy to come out to the car and show me all the connectors. I only managed to remember the power ones and all the speaker connectors didn't seem to do jack shit, regardless of polarity. We figured it was impossible to know if it was the speakers or the stereo and had to stop there

After a bit of messing around I managed to reconnect the whole block back up (which I can now check ) and got the radio to turn on. got the code in and it was functioning fine but still need a way to test the speakers (or buy some more) -

I think there's a saying and it's something like 'dont mess with a car stereo if you're a mong' will keep at it though as cars with no stereo's really suck.

    green - rear left+
    brown/green rear left-
    blue front
    brown/blue front
    yellow front
    brown/yellow front
    white rear right+
    brown/white-
you may have to fiddle with the brown/white as i think there is a few wires with those colours.
