    Default Recording Sky

I was thinking about buying a DVD hard Drive recorder, until i was told that you can only record the sky channel you are currently watching. The only option is to have sky plus if i want to watch and record different channels, is this correct or is their some super duper machine out there which over comes this problem.

only option is sky+ to watch more than one channel on sky at a time as it has 2 tuners whereas a standard box only has one tuner.
