    Default .MOV Quicktime movies!

I have some .MOV videos that were made by my cam while i was on holiday! Im wanting to make a DVD with all my movies!

So i need to convert my .MOV quicktime encoded videos into either MPEG-2 or MPEG-4 so i can put them onto a DVD-R and watch them on my DVD Player!

Does anyone know any software which will convert .MOV to either MPEG layer 2 or layer 4? I have tryed quicktime 6 pro, but don't seem to work right!

Any software to do this would be great!

    Thx guys!

You could try Xilisoft Video converter and if it does what you need, buy it for 35 dollars.

There's a list of guides Here Which mentions WINAVI, now I've got that so I'll give it a try

Edit: - the conversion MOV to DVD is listed, but I haven't got anything to convert at present.
    No reason why it shouldn't

    Edit Edit:

The Videohelp guide points you to a download for both a trial version and also more if you get my drift.

eo-video (any) and mainconcept mpeg encoder (after 1.4.2) will both convert .mov to mpeg although you'll need eo v2.x to convert directly to dvd, mainconcept will convert to dvd video directly you'll also need either quicktime or quicktime alt installed for both.

the slightly long way around to put them on dvd is as follows

use eo or mcm encoder to convert to mpeg2
use tmpg dvd source creator to convert to dvd video (makes smaller file sizes)
use tmpg dvd author to author and burn your dvdr

i did poost a tutorial on multiple movies to dvdr that covers all this in more detail as a sticky somewhere in these sections
