Debatable m8,I just dont look that old due to being a handsome cunt,i feel old as fuck tho,found a pile of PC Advisors in the loft from 1996,if you think yer hard done by price wise for yer pc stuff,cop this-16mb edo ram,a mere 163 quid,Pentium 166,8mb ram,1.08gb hard drive.onboard 1mb graphics,1291 quid,best is the top machine of that era,p200,16mb ram,1.2gb hard drive,6xcd rom,2mb diamond vid card and a 17 monitor,a snip at 2899(+vat),we`ve never had it so good lol

Sounds like the Compaq I bought from PC World way back in 1997, only that came with 32MB RAM, 4MB video card and a JBL 3 speaker setup for that price.
What really pissed me off was that Intel released the MMX architecture about 5 weeks after I purchased it, and PC World were not having any of it when I asked to return it so I could buy the MMX version.

Also bought my first CD recorder in 97 as well, cost me nigh on �1000 and was the same size as a CD player that comes in a Hi-Fi seperates system.
Blank discs were �15 a go, and Office 97 used to sell for �50 on "gold"

1997 doesn't seem that far back, but what a massive drop in technology. I though I bought my tiny computer in 92, (I think) It was a P133 2gb hdd 2mb ati graphics, 32mb cd-rom and 14 monitor. Maybe it was 97?

Yes must have been 97, as back in nov 93, i got my dx2 50,240mb Hard drive, 4mb ram,2x cd rom all for a bargain �1050.this was the 'entry' level at that time.
