The new break away club from Manchester United have set up their website and are asking for people who are willing to pledge money or their time and skills to setting up the new club. The new website that has been set up is at FC United.

FC United are asking for people to vote for what the new team name should be, please go on to the site and vote in the following section http://www.fc-utd.co.uk/news/story.php?story_id=5.

The choice of names are:
FC United of Manchester
FC Manchester Central
AFC Manchester 1878
Newton Heath United FC

Personally I think Newton Heath United FC has something about it. But FC United of Manchester has a good ring to it. What do you guys think?

But as soon as that free open market allows something you don't like you starting stamping your feet and whinging like a bunch of spoilt kids.

When the club became a PLC you knew this could potentially happen, you should have kicked up the fuss then, its a bit late to start creating now.

I suggest you call the new side: Knobhead United

Well when Uncle Ruppie wanted to buy the club you fans made a big fuss and it got reffered to the Monopolies Commission who refused to sanction the sale.You sure would not have been in so much debt and I'm sure Ruppie would have done his best that the club remained numero uno.Well now the club is fcuked and the last rites are already being said by the ABUs.
