it'll never happen guys in a million years - let alone 5 or 15. The sheer man power invloved in setting up and maintaining this kind of system far outweighs anything that can be conceived as even a tiny benefit. It's a pie in the sky bullshit waffle - but just in case I've added me name too lol.

Like ABC said - add it to fuel duty and you pay for what you use. Car tax is in itself a fekkin rip off.

i can understand tax for entering a city center or somewhere conjested but surely people will still go there almost as much? you dont just go there cos its free and you feel you may as well, there has to be a reason which you'd normally be willing to pay for.

they need improved public transport and a better road network or everything is going to go fucked.

Exactly, there is no real incentive for buying more eco freindly cars.

I know one thing I would have to get a job that didnt involve driving any distances like I do now. all that will happen is people will drive earlier to work and the working day will start erlier to avoid the huge prices for driving during rush hour.

This will happen as it has on the M61/M60 junction, you used to be able to drive through without stopping till about 7:45am it slowly has been getting earlier till at the moment you need to pass at about 6:45 to go without stopping some days it is even earlier.

you could add to that every one in burburry and anyone whose stereo is louder than his horn after all running all those amps burns extra fuel so as well as noise pollution its also destroying the ozone layer faster (allegedly)
