    Default Trial version still recognised

I installed a trial piece of music production software (Acid Pro 5). I got the trial directly from the acid pro website, Then I entered a serial (from a keygen) then basically I had a few huge probs with the pc (nothing to do with this, just viruses) all my software was wiped off my pc and it was sorted again. But when I tried to install the trial again, everything was fine apart from the fact that I couldnt open the program because my trial had expired. Problem is, I need to open it to enter the serial! Obviosly there are some files on my pc still there from the trial the first time around so I presume they need deleting. Any idea where they would be? A friend suggested typing "regedit" in the run box. I did this and deleted any acid pro files I could find but the problem was still there. Where else could these files be hiding?
Sorry about the long post but I do go on!

try a copy of registry healer
delete acid pro off your pc
make sure you delete any trace of acidpro off your c drive
run reg healer (trial vesion only does a limited number of repairs, so you may have to run it a feww times)
    then reboot and try again

You MAY get around it by setting your BIOS/windows date back a month or so...or quite a few trial softwares use one or two .dll files to stamp the time out, and the unistall util with them doesn't unistall these files... try looking in your windows (Or winnt) \system32 folder, do a search and use the 'containing tex' option, type in the developer of the software you are looking for, it may list some files, right click on the file/s and go properties, if it refers to the Co you are looking for, delete it.
