550 is usually a relaying error, indicating that you are using the wrong smtp setting.
For example, I use Pipex as my ISP and whilst I can receive emails from my Virgin and Freeserve accounts through Outlook if I want to reply to one of these I have to go through my Pipex smtp.
All your accounts need to have their smtp setting pointing to your ISP account, so for me all my accounts have their own pop settings, ie pop.virgin.net but the smtp for me has to be smtpauth.dsl.pipex.com
These settings come from Pipex directly.
550 is a spam relaying type checker.
Me and my fella spit our dummies out so we won't be coming back. ever. boo hoo.
This is a techy / hackers forum not a fu**ing mothers meeting so - peace out.
thanks for your reply
aahh..so..here we have force9 (plusnet) as ISP but send and receive from an old freeserve addy...I shall change the smtp setting to force9's details..will post back results
edit: okay..sorted ..simple change of smtp...must have been using force9 b4 but changed somehow back to freeserve??? anyway all's well..
special K 2 u Lin
