A Little bit of modern archaeology for you. Spotted this curio a couple of years ago but only took a picture of it last week. Just by the northern Rotherhithe tunnel exit by White Horse road. It’s a poster for ‘Use your Illusion’ 1 & 2 by Guns and Roses, released in 1991 (Two of my favourite records). It’s pretty knackered now, but to a GNR fan it’s easy to see what it is.

It stands to reason that this particular advertising board was superseded maybe 14 years ago by the much larger, all singing all dancing hoarding above it. And as such is no longer anyone’s responsibility. I suspect it will remain on the side of the building advertising GNR for all eternity, simply because no one owns it…Perhaps it’s just me that finds it interesting but I thought I might post it anyway. If you ever pass that way keep an eye out for it…Axl would be proud.
