laptop help needed

got a new laptop below is the spec

Model: "Notino C5515-1500".
15.1ins TFT screen. Mobile Intel Celeron M 360 processor (1.40Ghz processor, 400Mhz side bus speed, 1Mb L2 cache). Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition. 60Gb hard drive. 512Mb RAM. DVD-ROM/CD re-writer combo drive. Ability Office Suite. Integrated LAN. Integrated 56K V90 modem. Integrated graphics sharing system RAM up to 64Mb. Built-in 10/100 base T ethernet. Ports - ext VGA monitor, 2xUSB 2, serial, parallel, audio-out, mic-in. Carrying case. 6 cell 2 hour Li-ION battery

it is for uni. to be honest i aint got a clue! what i need to know has it got wireless internet or networking so when i go to uni in the halls i can connect to the internet without cables etc ???

Well it doesn't mention 802.11 nor WIFI, so would say not. If it has a pcmcia slot then you can get a WIFI card that will do it for you tho.

i was under the impression that these centrino based lappies came 802.11 standard??? (this mabe wrong i dont really deal with laptops a whole lot)

did a little searching and found this site HERE

the list of features does include the "802.11g Wireless Network card" the particular one has a 40 gig HD instead of your 60, this may have been a trade off ? more gigs for no wireless??

They do, but he has a Celeron which dont come wireless as standard m8.
