where on earth are people coming from thinking these would cost £40-70, it has over 100 lcd/oled screens in it for gods sake! like theyre gonna cost 50p per screen to make?!
it must take a pretty hefty onboard controller to handle all that aswell. somethin ike this isnt going to be produced in large numbers, so the cost will be very high
The question was "Who would be interested and what are you willing to pay?".Originally Posted by {{909}}
Translation of some of the text, by "free translation online":
In keyboard Optimus each key is the separate display, displaying what she operates at present.
Almost square key of translation of the carriage (Enter) is submitted in especially large size
The additional block of keys at the left is intended for switching between programs or modes
Optimus simultaneously approaches for any keyboard allocations ? cyrillic, ancient greek, Georgian, Arabian and further indefinitely: notes, figures, spetssimvoly, HTML-codes, matfunktsii.
Alternatively mate you could have clicked the 'English' link lol
At the top of the page under the menu system it says 'In English' and takes you here http://www.artlebedev.com/portfolio/optimus/

Taken from the news section of the website:
"15th July: The Russian page was visited 97 811 times, the English one—133 040 times (slashdot effect :-). Since yesterday we’ve been receiving two letters a minute from people wondering where they can buy the keyboard."

@Shambles - Dont worry I did exactly the same last night lol
@purpleanimal23 - I think it's really aimed at Mac users and your right just a novelty. Would wear off after a while.

cool...
I'm interested. Considering its usefullness in applications & gaming, I'd pay upto £200. Mad you may say, but considering the amount of time I spend at a keyboard in my life, why not have a bloody good one?Originally Posted by RhinoBanga
