Alinco DJ-X3 Scanner anygood

I have be offered the Alinco DJ-X3 scanner for £60 are they anygood?

yeah, not bad. bit fiddley to use at first as dont have many buttons so its lots of function keys and then other buttons and menu controlled. Can pick up tv, SW radio stations (as well as my sony sw100e! - with the rubber duck); and fm reception is pretty good too. They go for about 60-80 second hand and are approx 130 new.

Takes 2 AA batteries.

Only gripes - scratches easily; and the keys. oh and it doesnt have a clock function.

Yeah they're not bad, pickup pretty much everything you'd wanna listen to. I had an Icom ICR2 before it was stolen and i'd highly recommend that, specs are pretty much the same as the Alinco though, I just think it looks better, and its really tiny, small enough to fit in the palm of your hand. Hmm, i miss mine now
