    Default Looking for a PC

Anyone have any good places to pick up decent prebuilt PCs at a reasonable price?

I have a mate who is after something capable of playing recent games and doing all the other crap that people do on their PCs, i.e. copying DVDs, net and some basic office tasks.

Ideal spec would be a 64 bit Athlon or a 3.2 P4 with a gig of a RAM, a dual layer writer, no floppy, a 6600 or equivalent Radeon though I would prefer Nvidia and a 250Gb plus HD. A flatpanel monitor would be good too of reasonable speed and 17" or above.

Any ideas of somewhere good to go would be nice. I can't be arsed building one and don't think it would be cost effective these days anyway. However if I can find the bits cheap enough I would do it.

Looking to pay about 650 without VAT as I can get that off through the business.

I used to use them years ago and they were good then. Got a pre-built for my Uncle a few months ago from them and it's pretty sweet (for the ££), decent build quality and no problems.

Cool. Nice one. I remember them being OK but last experience of them was in the 486SX era.

    Happy Birthday by the way!!

Yup - I got a Mesh a couple of years ago now - I'm not a PC gamer so it's still doing me fine for what I need - never had a problem.

Not sure what their new PC's are like but my one (and only) complaint would be it's not the quietest PC you're ever going to find.
