the holy bible by manic street preachers
Couldn't stand that album. I grew up in Blackwood not too far from James and Sean, went over their house with a mutual friend a couple of times (a right shithole) so they were big news around my way but though he didn't really bring anything musical to the band I favoured their stuff prior to Richie going walkabout/floatabout: You Love Us, Stay Beautiful and Crucifix Kiss etc. Basically when they had attitude as opposed to when they disappeared up their own assholes and became lefty, pompous, Castro schmoozing bores.Originally Posted by New Art Riot

The Holy Bible was released prior to Richie's going missing, 90% of the lyrics on the album were written by himOriginally Posted by WalterPill

I stand corrected, he disappeared in '95 and the album was released in '94. Still dislike the album.
Ok Computer For me the First song Airbag Sets off the Album in the way it ends (Quality) then leads on to the Classic Paranoid Android the chill down my back i get when i hear
"Ambition makes you look pretty ugly, Kicking and squealing gucci little piggy,
You don't remember
You don't remember
Why don't you remember my name?
Off with his head, man
Off with his head, man
Why don't you remember my name? I guess he does..."
Im still amazed at the greatness of this album
