Telewest free speed increases to start shortly

Just been on the phone to BY to get my 2meg upgraded to 4meg, anyway the agent bloke said that some areas of Yorkshire could be waiting til February now before the upgrade to 10meg!!!!

I wouldn't worry too much about it, I'm only getting 6mbit or so on my "10mbit" (I have a 4200 so not the modem).

have you got a router capable of supporting 10 meg though. I upgraded my router a month ago and I'm still waiting for the increase doh.

Thats if you even have a router hehe.

If you have try plugging the modem directly into the pc and see if that helps.

I've been waiting for this for a while now, first they said end of Nov, then I phoned up and they said end of Dec, so hopefully in the next week or so.

This is what mine says i dont think i have been upgraded coz i cant get any more download speed than 325, Would my modem be suitable , its just a standard motorola one.

So if like me your still paying top whack for a 2mb connection, when others are enjoying a 4mb or 10 mb link for the same money, I think that they should stick you upto 4mb in the mean time. I mean, it may be months before we are all upgraded.

I posted that people could upgrade back in October and upgrade to the 4mb package for no extra cost.

Do you know anyone who succesfully got TW to upgrade them from 2mb to 4mb free of charge, cos they weren't getting 10 meg now ?
