    Default The Last Ninja

Ok, have been down to the local shops and bought Retro Gamer magazine complete with The Last Ninja Trilogy CD and it's just brought the memories flooding back !

God, I loved this game first time round on my C64 and as for the music on the first level and throughout the game Cannot wait for the xbox version, hopefully it will contain the original Last Ninja game in it as well as an unlockable or something.

Even found the tune from the wastelands level for download as well, so have promptly stuck the MP3 on my phone for a ringtone as well.

Have uploaded the wastelands music track here so feel free to download it:

Valid for the next 7 days. Enjoy :thumbs

is the version on the mag emulated or a remake?

It's emulated mate. Has C64, Spectrum, Amstrad and NES versions on complete with emus

I remember I had this for Atari ST even though it was never officially released (I think) might have to fire up my Amiga emu on xbox to try the Amiga version.

Not a bad read that retro gamer magazine. even comes with a nice tribute to Zzap! 64 (good to see the Scorelord again !) just a shame about the £5.99 cover price (ouch) ... I remember when magazines were like £1.85 tops and that was with a cover tape ! *haha*

Remember playing this at my m8's in the 80's. He had his C64 hooked up to his stereo and the music was excellent. Although its released and beefed up I still prefer the old sid version.

Yeah slapfight was great, we were swamped with vertically scrolling shooters in them days, prefered terra cresta myself, but slapfight was pretty cool.

Tiger Mission was pretty good on the C64. Especially the music.

I Love C64, I've still got one with about 300 games. I don't use it now though, I just use Gamebase64!

I had Last Ninja 2 on my speccy, and I found a cheat for it by accident where if you paused it when you hit someone then unpaused it, it would take all their health away. I was so chuffed when I found that out, it was published in Your Sinclair and everything! I'm so sad... my head is hanging in shame as I type!

Also, I had Last Ninja 3 on the Amiga, which I bought at the Commodore show up in earls Court. There were a couple of Page 3 lovelies on the stand who you could get your photo taken with if you bought the game, and one of those ladies was a certain Jayne Middlemiss, I sh!t you not. Going under the name of Jayne Marconi at the time. I have the pics somewhere, if anyone wants me to post it, I'll get around to scanning them in.
