Lost - Divx ??

Please Please Help me !!!!I have just downloaded the TV series 'Lost' and it is meant to be 'DIVX' and has an extension .avi The only problem is i can not get it to play with anything on my pc

I have tried the DIVX 6 player - NO GOOD. and even got loads of different codecs and none work.

ANY HELP ???

I have something called K-lite Codec Pack and works perfectly, are you sure there is not something wrong with the files you downloaded?

all the k-lite codec packs are there. they play everything.

use g-spot which is in the k-lite codec pack to find out what codec the files use

its probably xvid codec, but as the others said just install the klite mega codec pack. Will sort out all your playback probs.

if that doesnt work Rob then it has to be the files.

NEVER install codec packs to your PC as they are nasty, they can and do cause many problems!

Best option imho is to install JUST the latest DivX and Xvid codecs as these are the most commonly used. Then any media that does not play in WMP just drag and drop onto good old VLC.

Very few things will not play in VLC :thumbs

yup had a problem with media center and not outputting a signal through SPDIF out that wasnt downmixed so i could get proper DD 5.1 through my amp, tried so many things and when i uninstalled my k-lite codec pack, voila i got 5.1
