wireless network setup

I've just bought a laptop and I want to share my current 2mg broadband connection through a wireless router, however, my current speedtouch usb modem does not have a ethernet point.
My question is do I have to buy a adsl router with a built in modem or do I just replace my current modem with another with a ethernet point on it?
I'm totally new to this networking business so any help would be appreciated.

If you don't already have a router, your best bet would be to buy a wireless router with a built in modem.

yup get a wireless router with a built in modem and also a wireless card for your laptop, if you dont have Wifi built in on it
