Startup screen picture....
You can change it to what ever Picture you want. Edit "splash.bmp" on your TTG SD card. You MUST keep the format the same (240 x 320 pixels & 24bit bmp).
If your TTG hasn't got a "splash.bmp" pic, then just download one below and after altering it... stick it in the root folder on your TTG. Note* you must be upgraded to firmware 5.0 or above for this to work

Maps....

Finally, there is no way at present (that I know of) to get the latest maps working with the TTG unless you buy the orginal.

So the italy maps that I erm *cough* bought from lee yesterday won't work on my tomtom go?

Depends...

The TTG maps have to be activated for your unit. When you buy the maps, you get a "product code" with the SD card / CD.

You then go to http://www.ttcode.com/

type in the product code
then type in your TTG device code
you will then get a activation code (needed when you try and use the software on your unit)

as far as I know... if the map has been used on another TTG it won't work on your's. There are no known keygens for the TTG yet either.
