    Default Rastan

Ok, who remembers this bad boy then?

A classic warrior 'you vs the world' game. Rastan was a Conan style character, who absolutely had to kill every beastie in sight with various different weaponery (my favourite was the flaming sword).

Bloody difficult game actually, as it only took a few beatings for you to die.

Also, the music for this game was truly ace!

I was a fan of the arcade version, although I thought the character jumped a bit dodgy. I really enjoyed jumping in the air pulling down on the joystick and pressing the fire button at the same time for Rastan to land on someone's head. Back in the day Taito made some awesome games. The C64 conversion was brilliant as well.

Personally, I thought Rygar was better though

Yeah loved this game, was one of the only games the local arcade/bingo had when i was a kid and played it to death, we used to have rastan matches at lunchtime during school, it was very tough but we so kicked ass at it in the end.

Gotta agree with 2die4 totally though, rygar was a better game, gotta love that spinning wheel of death

    Rygar, good game.

A bit more fluid than Rastan and easier to control. Still like Rastan's music though

Rastan.. (arcade) Just been released for the ps2!

    In the taito Memories pack..
Games seem to be Emulated.. not ported over like the poor Midway pack efforts.

But yeah.. Rastan.. perfect on the Ps2.. Lovely.

Finally completed it, great game. Only 6 stages, but bloody difficult - I can no longer see the number on my no. 5 key

This is a replacement keyboard too, after wearing out the 5 key completing Ghosts 'n Goblins....eh Bensons

I remember rastan, used to always easily complete it in the arcade.
I might go play it again on Mame see if i can still play it :nowords:

I used to go to towyn in north wales and there was a board in knightlys arcade that had some games on that had the european high scores on and i actually beat some of them :thumbs

I held the high scores on bubble bobble, Rygar, ghosts n Goblins and track and field.

Ghosts n goblins was easy though because of the infinate time cheat you could do.

Also used to be the best on Mr.Do, even without using the cheat to get 255 lives
