BOY, 12, CHARGED WITH RAPE


A 12-year-old boy has been charged with the rape of an eight-year-old boy, police have said.

The youngster was charged with two counts of rape, seven counts of sexual assault, and three counts of engaging a child in sexual activity.


The charges relate to a number of incidents in Worsley Mesnes in Wigan, Greater Manchester, over the last six months.

The 12-year-old, from Worsley Mesnes, was due to appear at Wigan Magistrates Court later today.
