Default Free program to unlock files

Just found this guys and thought I'd share it with you.... the link to the website is here

If you ever get an error message like this then this unlocking tool is will allow you to 'unlock' it.

It will show apps which are holding the file open and allow you to kill the processes :

The creation of billions of galaxies each containing trillions of stars each with their own solar systems, some with planets that have evolved civilisations with billions of different life forms. OR The creation of just your imagination?

This program is better than I first thought, and just paid for itself

Creating a Nero image to one of my stacked drives and kept getting a bubble "delayed write error; data may be lost". So I stopped the copy.

Hmm.. so in My Computer I selected properties of the drive and Tools then Error check. Of course by now Windows reckons the drive is in use so says it will schedule an error check at the next boot.

Sod that. Right click the drive again and selected "Unlocker", cancelling all connection handles (all svchost.exe). Then retried the error check and it did it right then right there :thumbs

I know - its even impressing me - today it saved so much data on a virtual drive I have on one of my work servers.... unlocked the processes and voila - BROWNIE POINTS from the boss for me!

Do any of the mods wanna move this to the program link sticky (I dont want to post twice on the same subject) within the root of this forum?
