Media Player 10 Streaming

I've just noticed that Media Player 10 won't stream music/vidoes from the internet. It used to work fine...I've reinstalled it from scratch, but its still not working! Anyone know why?

Mine does now, but only after uninstalling/reinstalling it last week. I downloaded MP10setup.exe from a european source and it solved my problem. I think it's important to uninstall it first, to clear the classkeys.

yeh...i did that. it rolled back to WM9 and worked fine, so i thought it was fixed, but when i installed WM10 again it stopped working again!

is there anyway of removing media player completely and starting again?

Yup. Go to add/remove programs then click the button on the left marked "windows components". After a short while it'll bring up all the removable windows bits. Untick the box showing wmp then go. After a reboot (might not be necessary but what the hell) you can then install wmp10.

that only removes all shortcuts to WM10 and not the program itself...or so it says.

how do i remove media player completely...it keeps rollin back to wm9!

do you think it might be something to do with SP2? coz i recently installed that
