And how much do you earn Andy? You wouldn't be some scum who rips the system and lets someone else pay for the health service that you no doubt moan about not being good enough when you need it are you?

Anon.
Last year I earned £42,000 and have to pay 40% tax on about 10 grand of that.
-=+PhliX+=-
I'm a poor little student who earns prolly about £3.5k a year (that's 60 quid a week for two nights, but I do a few other nights here and there as well per year so will pull it up a bit). I get ~10 days holiday pay a year too which ain't too bad seeing as I work (on paper) 11 hours a week (5 on Friday night, 6 on Saturday). I can only work weekends because I'm at uni five days a fuckin week!
For those nosey cunts above, I work for Luminar Leisure as a Bar Supervisor at Lava/Ignite nightclub in Burnley. I'm 19 and get £5.50 an hour, which isn't great but could be worse...
So the largest proportion earn 40K+. Who'd have thought it?
Yeah, i was quite surprised of the outcome of this thread / poll. Many people have voted which is great :thumbs
nik
Lee Elwood could have pissed this poll (if it was a comp.)
I voted btw but it's a private thing I think.
No sympathy for the devil; keep that in mind. Buy the ticket, take the ride...
Yeah your correct beansontoast but its to bad he's now getting less money than people on JSA
Ohwell I might be joining him tomorrow.. depends what judge thinks :nowords:

Why are people so secretive about what they earn? I have never understood that.

So people who are worried about saying what they earn are insecure?

Worked for Digital Equipment / Compaq /Hewlett Packard foreleven years in total, last year HP outsource me and a few hundred others to an employment agency, cut my wages from 22k to 16k per year also lost bonuses private health care final salary pension and lots more. Now repair double glazed windows doors and conservatories for 17.5k a year. Not too bad but a bit of a culture shock after eleven years working indoors

i earn 24,000 per annum as a hgv driver al tho the licence cost me nearly 2 grand a couple of years ago
Self Employed Builder/Plasterer Last years tax return I did about 27,000 officially and about another 25,000-30,000 in cash!!!! Dont tell IRS will ya
If i get a day rate on a job its usually because I dont know how the jobs gonna go and charge £140 a day or £120 for cash. Working on Price is the way to go though as you can make a killing that way, also I try to work mostly for big companies and sub to them rather than private work although I do do a bit of private work now and then. Full house refurbs are always a good screw to get on coz you can give a price for the job and a contingency for things that go wrong so your covered a bit for weather and the like.
