Need Urgent Help

I thought this would be the best place to put this as I need as much help as possible.

I was on here late on Friday night, all was well. I then refreshed the page and it took an age to refresh. But it didnt return to the DF homepage, it came up with the error "Page Cannot Be Displayed"

I have not touched any settings, or installed any sw etc etc, but I cannot suss out why. I have not been able to get on the forum since Friday night, and the only way I can get on now is via http://anonymouse.org/anonwww.html.

Please help as much as possible as I need to get this sorted out asap.

The forum went down at about 12:30am Friday Night and didnt return till late monday afternoon.

That explains that downtime... not sure why you cant access it the rest of the week tho. :nowords:

The reason I am using that site is because I cannot get onto the forum when I follow my usual link in my favourites m8. As I have explained in the first post,,, lol.

PS,,, I dont think it is anything to do with IE as I have tried to log on here from 3 different comps on a network. All other sites are fine, so cannot see it being the router.

Still need help though,,, lol.

are you using saved locations from your home page and/or favs, if yes then try retyping the address from scratch the cookie may be corrupt, if it lets you in then just over right the saved one, also i use opera as i have probs with ie from time to time

I am trying to log on from the link saved in my favourites,,, but I have also tried retyping it. I have also tried going through google.

I cannot directly log on to the forum in any way. I have to use the website stated above.

Yes m8, I have tried everything i can think of. I have just tried Oprea too with no luck.

Thats what I was thinking,,, but would that cause the "Page Cannot Be Displayed" error ??

Dunno. When I modded a torrent site last year we could ban the username and/or IP. The IP ban caused an error message to be displayed similar to, but not exactly the same as, the one you're receiving.

Go on, ask 'em.

Well there are no rectrictions on my DF account, so I am completely at a loss now.

find your cookies folder and delete EVERYTHING in it

open www.digital-forums.com

sign up for a new account (termy-test maybe)

see if that works

if it does post in the intro section just to confirm it works then log out and delete all your cookies and try again using your normal login

I treied to delete everything from the cookies folder, but there is a "index.dat" file in there that wont delete ??

But I deleted everything else, opened explorer & Opera and tried to just get the registration page up,,, but no luck there either.

Oh well,,, I cannot find the problem so will just leave it as it is for now.

Which ISP are you with Termy? There's a small possibility that one of your ISPs DNS caches' is holding an invalid IP link to DF.

Try pinging 82.165.40.217 (or try to access DF using that IP in your browser)
