    Default WTD: CD Ripping s/w see in

    Hi guys. Looking for some cd ripping software that will allow me to rip only the first X secconds of a track (for website sample purposes). Anyone know any names??

    You could use DBPoweramp to rip the track from the CD and then Goldwave to crop a few seconds off it. It is hard to sample tracks when they have an instrumental intro and you actually want the meat of the track and Goldwave will let you rip the bit that you want from the track. At least that way people will get an idea of the vibe of the track and not just the start.

    Shouldnt be a problem with these tracks as there all salsa one's and seem to keep the same stuff going on from beginning to end Im taking a look @ goldwave now. Can you tell it to crop multiple tracks at the same time??

    To be hoonest mate I have never tried and it ain't on my work machine to try. That modern day salsa music is all noise to me. Not like house music when I were a lad.

    could try play cd through mediaplayer, then record on the sound recorder

    Im looking for something that will do it in a batch as there are many tracks to do. Idealy I would like it to rip, encode to 32k mp3 and just take the first min so all I have to do is just wack a cd in. Im sure there is a proggy that will do it, I just cant remeber what its called......
