Land of the Dead

I watched this today. Hmm, didn't think it was that good to be honest. Had a pretty crap storyline, very, VERY weak. Erm, it was gory and the effects where people were being ripped apart were amazing. Altho it doesnt come anywhere close to being as good as any of the other zombie films I have seen such as 28 Days Later, etc.

Its just a good zombie film. Nothing special about it. I won't be buying it on DVD anytime soon. And would only advise you watching it, if you really like zombie films, else you're gonna be dissapointed.

I'll give it a 5/10 and thats only cus I thought the girl with the black hair in it was quite fit. :coffee:

Saw it this morning....have to say, although i enjoyed it, being a Romero fan etc...was a bit disapointed.
Wasnt up to the standard if you compare it with the other movies,night, dawn and day, but still worth a watch..nice effects and watch out for a few cameos!!

I saw this a while back.

Wasn't too impressed either. So much so, I didn't think to write a mini-review for it here!

Effects were good enough, but in this day and age so they should be.

Story was pretty weak, and Dennis Hopper did seem a bit mis-cast to me.

As someone on the IMDB noticed the zombies breathe. You can see the breath in the cold. They are supposed to be dead FFS!

As zombie movies goes it was ok, but not as good as Romero can be.

Upcoming remake of Day Of The Dead is making all these movies a bit messed up.

5/10.

Dissapointing - wanted to like it more, I can see why Romero doesnt make movies anymore I dont think he has the passion for it. This was a weak story, so so zombie effect (personally I think Day of the dead did them better and that was years ago)

I know its hard to push the zombie genre forward as it has been done to death (ho ho) and there only so much you can do with it to start with but if this didnt have Romero's name on it I think it would be straight to video.

5/10 - (3/10 if you dont like zombie movies as much as me and thats lots)

just come back from seeing this.cant say i liked it tbh. ok the effects were ok, although i thought the zombies were done better in the recent dawn of the dead. the storyline is cack, the films only redeeming feature is that Argento bird.

YEah just watched this, the plot started off pretty weak, didn't really go anywhere then kinda petered out in the end.

Was worth watching for the effects, but got boring v quickly.

saw this on sat ... thought it was cack compared to the original ... thought the zombies were only ment to move slowly not be oylimpic runners!

The story line was ok i think but again it was nothing on the original.

Enjoyed it for a no brainer (:tongue) and thought that the makeup was very good... Dennis Hopper took the complete pi$$ and must have been laughing all the way to the bank for this little outing...

7/10 apart from the nails breaking on the side of the truck YUK :nono

I enjoyed the film simply cos I love Zombie films - all zombie films are basically no brainers your there to watch the gore etc etc.. I must admit that it could have been better ( I thought the recent remake of Day of the Dead was brill). I`d give it 7/10

I think some people are looking into it a bit deep, its a zombie film after all.
I quite enjoyed it, some great gore and killings. 7/10

I did quite enjoy the remake of Dawn Of The Dead and I was epecting more of the same - basically a no-brainer (no pun intended) with this film. it's a zombie film and the zombie genre has been done to death (again no pun intended). It wasn't bad but it wasn't brilliant, prefered Dawn Of The Dead though. Just the sort of film you can put on and laugh at. Overall 5/10 for me as well.
